The Makita Carbon Brush Suit For CB-411 is a replaceable “motor brush” — a small carbon/graphite block (with spring and lead wire) that makes electrical contact between the rotating armature (rotor) and the stationary part (stator / commutator assembly) of a brushed electric power tool motor.
When your Makita power tool’s original brushes wear out (from normal friction, heat, and use), electrical contact becomes poor, leading to sparking, loss of power, overheating, or failure to operate. Replacing them with CB-411 (or CB-411A) restores proper contact, allowing the motor to run smoothly and reliably again.
